Hi, I am Flowerjasper, also known as Sandy.

All my life I have loved to create things, progressing from plasticraft, painting and knitting as a child to growing things as a teenager.

I studied Horticulture and my love of nature is still very important to me, hence the name Flowerjasper.

I left the world of plants when I had my two sons, but these creative fingers refused to be still, through making jewellery I discovered the world of beads!

My friend Kate (a talented multimedia artist http://www.orchidarts.co.uk/) and I would compare bead boxes, this led to the discovery that you could make your own beads  ta daaaa!!!

So in October 07 my aunt Jean and I set off to Harogate to the bead fair where  I brought my Hothead torch and glass, thats when it all started, my love of glass, its such a wonderful medium to work with I have so much to learn but I have enjoyed the journey so far!!

Thanks to my Dad for his generous christmas gift(torch etc), Jean for her love of my first wonky beads ,to Lewis and Rob for telling people who phone up "mum is in the Shed!" and for being fab boys, Margaret for giving me the confidence in my work to do this, and to Rick for loving me and what I make.
